Vineyards

IDRIAS reflects the essence of the Sierra de Guara, in the heart of the Protected Designation of Origin named Somontano “at the foot of the mountain” of the Aragonese Pyrenees, a transition zone between the Ebro River valley and the Pyrenees, where the Romans consolidated the cultivation of vine, being today, its Protected Designation of Origin, one of the most prestigious wine-growing areas of Spain, where the quality of its wines is its standard.

Soils are mainly brown-limestone, poor fertility, a good level of limestone and good permeability conditions, which give the wines the unique personality of the “terroir” to which they belong, accentuated by the little winemaking interventionist practice that also potentiates the expressiveness of each of the selected varieties.

The 70 hectares of own vineyard, about 550 meters above sea level, are located in the manner of the old “Pagos”, around the Winery, identified in 3 main Plots: ALFEZ, TURMOS and LAS PLANAS and subdivided each in smaller Plots according to their variety and specific conditions, in such a way that each one of them is identified and managed independently of the rest, to obtain its best grape quality, being common to all of them the sustainable with the environment viticulture that is practiced.

This sustainability is greatly favored by the climatology of the area, where the contrast between the cold winters influenced by the high mountains, and the hot and dry summers, although the much temperature variation between day and night, directly affects to an excellent sanitary condition and maduration of the vineyard.

Wine Tourism

Located in a privileged location, the Winery has outstanding facilities and experiences for the enjoyment of wine tourism for wine lovers. Also for groups and companies, it has large indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, conventions or congresses and a dining room fully glazed in height to enjoy beautiful views of the vineyards, surrounded by nature, greenery and the land of Somontano. Ideal for celebrations, including weddings.

 

It also has a Shop for tasting and buying current vintages and boutique wines, old vintages no longer available on the market.

 

Wine Shop Timetable

Monday and Tuesday: 10h to 14h.
Wednesday to Sunday : 10h to 14h and 16h to 20h.

Winery visits Timetable

Wednesday to Sunday: 11:30h and 17:30h.

Visit to the vineyard, winemaking area, barrel room, social area and events and wine shop. Includes tasting of 3 wines during the tour: €12 VAT included/adult. Duration 90 minutes approx. Visits are in spanish language.
